iTranslate Voice has been the premiere language translation app in the App Store for awhile. Apple even featured it as one of the best apps of 2012.

Today Sonico Mobile, the company behind iTranslate, has released version 2.0 of the app with additional languages, a polished design, and a slick multi-lingual communication tool called AirTranslate.

The design really speaks for itself; the interface has been cleaned up and refined. There’s a new swipe gesture for accessing settings at the bottom of the app as well.

Voice recognition has been added for Thai, Catalan, Romanian, Hebrew, Croatian, Malay, Ukrainian and Vietnamese, with text-to-speech support not yet available for the last five. There’s even a fun “Presidential Voice Pack” with the voices of Obama, Bush, and Romney.

The coolest addition to iTranslate Voice is by far AirTranslate, a new voice translation tool that allows you to have a conversation with someone in a different language. Let the video explain:

iTranslate Voice is available now in the App Store for $1.
