Apple has added a new promotional page to its website for iOS 7, targeting business users who will be using iPhones and iPads in a professional capacity. “iOS 7 offers more advanced ways to deploy devices and deliver a great user experience for your employees,” the Cupertino company says, before highlighting the many ways in which iOS 7 can benefit business users.

Some of the features, such as per app VPN, were mentioned during Apple’s WWDC keynote earlier this month, where iOS 7 got its grand unveiling. But there plenty that haven’t been announced yet — until today, that is.

In addition to per app VPN, which allows apps to automatically connect to VPN when they are launched, there’s also “managed open in,” which aims to protect corporate data by controlling with apps and accounts can open certain documents and attachments; Enterprise single sign on, which means business users only have to sign in once to use different apps; and third-party app data protection, which ensures apps downloaded from the App Store have data protection enabled automatically.

Apple also notes the improvements it has made to Mail, like the ability to add and reorganize smart mailboxes, view PDF annotations, and improved search; and support for the App Store Volume Purchase Program.

Apple clearly has a bigger focus on business in iOS 7, and that’s unsurprising given that competitors like BlackBerry and even Samsung have been improving their software and devices for business use. The company will now be hoping that these improvements can get the iPhone and other iOS devices into more workplaces.
