Spider Holster Lens Pouch Hangs Off Your Belt Like A Dead Penguin

I no longer have to bother with the swapping of lenses since I traded in a box of the things for the fixed-lens Fujifilm X100S, but when I did I found that I never had enough hands to do it (for the record, I have the usual number of hands: two). If I’d been desperate enough, then, I might just have opted for the Spider Holster Large Pro Lens Pouch, a dork-tastic accessory which is nonetheless very practical.

The pouch makes it look like you have a dead penguin hanging from your belt. Unlike an actual dead penguin, though, it will neither smell fishy nor get you arrested. Instead, it’s a practical parking place for big zoom lenses.

Take the lens off your camera and plant it face down in the pouch. Then just reach for the tethered lens cap (a very neat feature) and cover the rear element of the lens. Then, still with the camera in your other hand, grab the new lens from another dead penguin… sorry… I meant pouch.

The case even has a zipper and a drawstring to keep the lens safe. Yes it does look really dorky, but it’s also as practical as all get out. I just wonder if I could use one to carry my little pet penguin?
