Not only are Apple Stores some of the most popular retail stores on the planet, they’re also the most successful. This year Apple Stores have continued to outpace the entire industry, and as a result Apple is now making more money per visitor than ever before.

According to some analysis by Horace Dediu at Asymco, last quarter the number of Apple Store visitors grew 7%, and as a result Apple earned a record of $57.60 in revenue from each visitor.

Thanks to the boost in foot traffic and spending, the average revenue per Apple Store per quarter rose up to $13 million per store, which is the highest non-holiday quarter Apple’s ever had.

With employment steady around 110 employees at Apple Stores, the average number of visitors per store per quarter rose to 250,000 this year. That number was only 170,000 per store just three years ago.

Dediu speculates that the increase might be a result of increased floor space in new Apple Stores along with renovations on older stores.
