JailbreakCon, the only convention dedicated solely to the iOS jailbreak community, took place last summer in San Francisco, California. We brought you on-the-ground reporting from the convention floor, including profiles of people like pod2g, the luckiest jailbreak hacker in the world.

Now JailbreakCon is coming to New York City on August 23rd-24th.

Unlike last year and the first JailbreakCon in London, 2013’s con will take place over two days. The first day will be solely dedicated to developers and hackers who want to learn more about what jailbreaking has to offer. Then a day of speaker talks will be given to developers and regular attendees, with topics ranging from creating the iOS 6 jailbreak to designing themes.

JailbreakCon 2013’s website went live over the weekend, and ticket sales have officially begun. Guest speakers and a definitive schedule are still TBA. More details are available on the website.
