Currency App Converts Currencies. Beautifully

Who knew there was room for yet another iPhone currency converter in the store? The folks behind Currency, that’s who, a conversion app that is as minimal as its name.

Currency looks gorgeous, and is super-simple to use. At the top is your source currency, and below that is a list of target currencies. Type your amount in the top and it’ll be converted into all the currencies below, letting you see them all at once.

To swap, just tap on one of the currencies in the list and it moves to the top.

Numbers are entered as you’d expect, calculatotr-style, and you can swipe the readout to undo/redo. But the real neat UI trick is that you can undo and redo a digit at a time by swiping slowly, turning 100 into 10 or 1000, easily.

The other neat feature is a graph which shows the history of the selected currency over the last six months.

I bought it right away. Usually I use Siri to convert currencies as I work, to bring you folks the price in U.S dollars. Now, I’ll probably use Currency instead, not least for the multiple readout.
