Quickly Launch Apps From Your iPhone’s Lock Screen With Grabby [Jailbreak]

By

Grabby

Grabby, a new tweak from esteemed jailbreak developer Ryan Petrich, allows you to quickly launch your most frequently used apps from your iPhone’s lock screen by extending the functionality of the built-in camera slider. Find out more about how it works and where to download it below.

Grabby is based on a concept by Sentry (below), the designed of Auxo, another popular jailbreak tweak. Once installed, it allows you move the camera slider to the left, which then presents shortcuts to other apps of your choosing — as you can see in the screenshot above. You can specify which apps have a shortcut within the Settings app.

Grabby is particularly handy if you’re looking for ways to launch apps instantly when you unlock your iPhone. And as is the case with a lot of Petrich’s tweaks, it’s done so elegantly it could well be a built-in feature designed by Apple.

Grabby is in beta at the moment, so it may have some issues that need ironing out, but if you’d like to try it you can download it from Petrich’s own repository. Add https://rpetri.ch/repo/ to your Cydia sources then search for Grabby and you should find it.
