Laurene Powell Jobs, from Rock Center with Brian Williams interview. Airs Friday, April 12 at 10 P.M., 9 P.M. CDT

For the first time since Steve Jobs died, his widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, will speak on TV — in this case, in an interview on Rock Center with Brian Williams this evening, in just a few hours.

It took the country’s tumultuous battle over immigration reform to finally coax the famously quiet widow from her silence after a year and a half.

Powell Jobs collaborated with filmmaker Davis Guggenheim on The Dream is Now, a film about the plight of young undocumented immigrants, which she will talk about during the interview — along with, no doubt, revealing some insight about Steve.

The interview airs at 10 P.M. (or 9 P.M. CDT, for those of you in the middle).
