Only T-Mobile lets your iPhone 5 be as great as an iPhone 5. That’s according to the carrier’s new commercial, which has begun airing today to celebrate the launch of the iPhone on T-Mobile. It’s taken almost six years, but Apple’s popular smartphone is finally available on America’s fourth largest carrier. Watch the new ad below.
I don’t know who chose that music, but it’s a little too loud for an iPhone commercial, I think. It’s certainly not the kind of thing Apple would choose for an iPhone ad, that’s for sure. But at least it ensures you’ll notice the ad is playing.
Thanks to T-Mobile’s new “Uncarrier” initiative, the iPhone 5 starts from just $99.99 upfront, then $20 per month over 24 months. Alternatively, you can buy the device outright from $579.99, then couple it with one of T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plans, which offer unlimited calls, texts, and data — perfect for all the super-fast LTE browsing you’re going to be doing.

Reports had suggested that T-Mobile would be kicking off a huge marketing campaign for the iPhone 5, and it certainly looks like it’s doing that.
