Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch is leaving the company to become Vice President of Technology at Apple, but Tim Cook may have to keep a close eye on him around the iPhones. Back in 2009, Lynch smashed up a whole bunch of them in a bid to get them to run Flash Player. See his destructive side for yourself in the video below.
The video is actually part of an Adobe Myth Hackers series; this one tackles the myth that Flash cannot run on the iPhone after “Steve from Cupertino” wrote in to say he just cannot believe it’s not possible. Lynch and his co-presenter Johnny Loiacono then try to find ways to add Flash to Apple’s device.

The video was released in 2009, which is why the iPhones used in it aren’t recent models. Apple was famously first to shun the Flash platform when it decided it wasn’t needed on its iOS devices, and the company chose to support the HTML5 standard instead.
For a while, Flash was seen as one of the biggest reasons to choose Android over iOS, but it’s slowly being phased out of Google’s platform, too. Adobe announced back in November 2011 that it would no longer be supporting mobile Flash, and it hasn’t updated it for Google’s latest Jelly Bean platform.
Lynch is expected to join Apple next week after spending his last day at Adobe this Friday, March 22. He will report directly to Senior Vice President Bob Mansfield.
