Privacy concerns be damned--we've got stickers!

Social media iOS app, Path, updated today to version 3.0.1, adding some new features to the purported all-in-one personal social network’s iOS app. The update adds private messaging along with photo filters and stickers designed by a small group of indie artists for the app.

You can use Path to share photos, videos, places, music, films, books, workouts, and your sleep schedule–just to name a few things–with your Path network, chatting with individuals or groups of other, like-minded folks, family, and friends along the way. You can also share your Path updates with other social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Foursquare, letting you check in, upload images and video, and blog or tweet right from the Path app.

The “handcrafted” sticker packs will run you $1.99 each as an in-app purchase, while the photo filters remain at $0.99. The 3.0.1 update is out for iOS now, with an Android app update coming soon. Adding a revenue stream to the app makes sense with a user base of millions of people, of course, and while it’s not unique, it’s one of the first high-profile messaging apps to add such a strategy.

What’s New in Version 3.0.1
★ Messaging – instantly message your friends with many special features: stickers, voice, location, media, and more!
★ The Shop – add a little extra fun with premium photo filters and handcrafted stickers by some of our favorite artists.
✓ Performance improvements.
☂ Bug fixes.
