AutoResponder, the popular jailbreak tweak that allows users to set up automatic replies to incoming text messages, has today been updated to introduce support for devices running Apple’s latest iOS 6 firmwares. Now called AutoResponder 2, the tweak also has 50% off for a limited time for those who haven’t yet purchased it.

AutoResponder is like an “out of office” feature for your text messages. When you’re busy, or you’re away from your iPhone, you can set up an automatic response that lets people know you’re not available when they send you a message.

Once installed, the feature can be enabled or disabled from within the Settings app, where you can also customize its response and set up your own presets. There’s also a default response that simply reads “I’m busy,” but we’d suggest changing that to something a little less blunt.

Other changes in version 2.0 include a new contacts “whitelist,” which lets you select certain contacts who won’t receive automatic replies; and improvements to the timer.

AutoResponder 2 is available now via Cydia’s BigBoss repository, priced at $1.50 — that’s 50% off its regular price, but the deal is for a limited time only. So if you need an auto-reply feature on your iPhone, grab this nifty tweak while it’s cheap.
