XCOM Is Coming To Mac, Now Go Kill Some Aliens

XCOM-situation

One of the best games of last year — XCOM: Enemy Unknown — is coming to the Mac, allowing Mac gamers for the first time to tactically repel a full-on invasion of the planet Earth, one turn at a time.

Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games on the PC and Consoles, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is coming to the Mac by way of port-masters Feral Interactive.

The game itself is based on the Gollop Bros. classix X-Com: UFO Defense. A turn-based strategy game that mixes tactical soldier vs. aliens battles with base management and a larger, geoscape view in which you control a global anti-extraterrestrial military force, the Mac release will be released in Spring, and come with the Slingshot and Elite Soldier Pack add-on content, as well as the Second Wave update that includes a series of gameplay modifiers.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown for the Xbox 360 was one of my favorite games of last year, and it’s going to be even better on the Mac. Unfortunately, more firm details like price and release date are still unknown.
