Infinity Blade, the spectacular sword slinger from Epic Games studio ChAIR Entertainment, has gone free for the first time since making its App Store debut back in December 2010. The title, which is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, has been chosen by Apple as its free App of the Week.

Infinity Blade is widely regarded as one of the best games on iOS. It was the first to take advantage of the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 3 technology and push the boundaries of mobile gaming with console-quality graphics. It has received just under 65,000 five-star ratings on the App Store, and plenty of rave reviews from users and critics.

Those who have never gotten around to playing it, now’s your chance to get it free. Infinity Blade boasts a gripping single-player campaign that takes you to Dark Citadel to battle the God King’s Titans one-by-one, before finally facing the tyrant himself.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Apple and to have Infinity Blade selected as ‘App of the Week,’ ” said Donald Mustard, creative director for ChAIR Entertainment. “Infinity Blade remains one of the most popular games in the App Store and this is a great opportunity to invite new gamers into the Infinity Blade universe.”

Infinity Blade is compatible with all iPads, including the first-generation and the iPad mini, as well as the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch third-, fourth-, and fifth-generation. You can download it now by clicking the App Store link below.
