Realmac Software, the developers behind Clear for iPhone, have been listening to your feedback, and they’ve today release an update that makes the “Edge Swipe” gesture entirely optional. In addition to this, they’re made some iCloud tweaks that promise to “improve how Clear behaves when iCloud misbehaves.”

Although this isn’t a major update to Clear, it does make a significant change that’s sure to make a big difference to some users. Those who don’t like the Edge Swipe gesture, which allows you to quickly switch between your lists, can now disable it inside Clear’s Settings menu.

Edge Swipe can be handy once you’ve gotten used to it, but it can also get in the way sometimes. Because Clear is all about gestures, it uses swipes to the left and right to complete or delete tasks. But if you made the swipe too close to the edge of the screen, you ended up in another list instead.

In addition to this, the 1.2.1 update makes some iCloud tweaks that should improve the performance of Clear when iCloud sync is playing up.
