Stitcher Radio for iOS has today been updated to add a nifty new “Topic Search” feature that helps listeners discover trending topics across more than 15,000 shows. The update also brings better episode management, improved Voiceover mode, performance improvements, and more.

Available from the standard search bar, Topic Search lets users explore “topic based audio” across a breadth of sources. Just type in a topic, and Stitcher will find mentions of it within thousands of shows. It’ll even provide you with one-click audio links that will allow you to jump to specific segments of the audio clip. Finding shows you’ll love has never been quicker.

“Listeners will now be able to easily discover topic based audio at their fingertips, across a vast range of sources and episodes,” said Noah Shanok, CEO of Stitcher. “We see this as part of our mission to further the evolution of radio by making it more relevant and accessible than ever.”

In addition to this, the latest version of Stitcher promises improved performance, including a better handling of live radio streaming under poor network conditions; better episode management with heard/unheard indicators next to each episode; additional fixes and enhancements to Voiceover mode; and auto integration enhancement, with an improved visual experience and full album art for BMW and MINI drivers.

The Stitcher Radio app is free, and it’s available to download now from the App Store using the link below.
