Sunday isn’t ‘Funday’ this time around.

Despite rampant speculation that the official iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak would be released on Sunday, February 3rd, it won’t actually be made available to the public until Monday, February 4th. The jailbreak is called Evasi0n, and it will be compatible with all iOS devices capable of running iOS 6.0-6.1. including the iPhone 5 and iPad mini.

The Evad3rs, a group of four hackers who have developed past jailbreaks, have been testing compatibility with different devices and iOS versions over the past few days. Compatibility tests have been successful, and the jailbreak is complete and nearly ready for public release.

Before you jailbreak your iOS device tomorrow, make sure to follow our guide on how to prepare. We’ll let you know as soon as the iOS 6.1 jailbreak drops. It’s only a matter of hours away!

Get ready to unsecure your iPhone. Make sure everybody can grab your secrets … I down’t care about jailbreaking, but some people love to share personal secrets. Let us know, you belong to the open minded. hahaha … so we can get your secrets while you jailbroke your iPhone

Quit spreading FUD. Also, your blog post is incorrect in some very crucial ways: jailbreaking does not necessarily void your warranty, so long as you “unjailbreak” your phone before getting it serviced. And, a jailbroken device can actually sell for more than an unjailbroken phone, and its just a mattering of restoring from a clear IPSW if its an issue for the buyer. Finally, most of your issues don’t apply for anyone not using a work-provided iPhone.

I think this bit is more than telling:

I’ve never done a jailbreak and recommend everyone to desist.(translated by Google).

You should probably not attempt to come off as an expert on something that you literally have zero experience with.

They never said it would be on the 3rd. It was only hinted at, then all the blogs (in typical blog fashion) just started repeating that the 3rd was the day it would be released. This is the first actual announcement of a release date.

Your “weener”? Does your mother know that you’re trolling people on the internet right now?

You aren’t entitled to a release on a particular date. Not to mention that the guys involved are taking time from their own lives to make this possible for you. Show a little gratitude.
