Apple celebrates the Chinese New Year by offering its fans in Asia one-day “Red Friday” deals, similar to the Black Friday sale it holds for customers in the United States. And the Cupertino company has today begun teasing the event via its online store with a big red advert that promises “great gifts for everyone on your list.”

Although Apple hasn’t yet announced which products will be included in the sale, you can expect discounts on new Macs, iPads, iPods, and first- and third-party accessories — as well as free shipping on any orders you place. Last year’s Red Friday promotion offered customers up to 8% off iPads, 10% off the iPod touch, and a HK$770 discount on all MacBook Airs, MacBook Pros, and iMacs.

Just don’t expect any discounts on the iPad mini, which was launched in China earlier this month. Apple didn’t offer any discounts on its cheapest tablet for Black Friday, while the Mac mini, the iPod nano, and the iPod shuffle were also left out.

Red Friday will be available to customers in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. SGT on January 25.

Back in December, Apple held its “Lucky Bag” promotion in Japan to celebrate the New Year. The tradition allows customers to purchase a bag full of surprise Apple goodies for around $400. Most bags included things like t-shirts, accessories, and cheaper devices like iPods. However, some lucky customers have previously received MacBooks or high-end iPads.
