Your Long Fingernails Can Now Be Transformed Into Touchscreen Styluses

I have no idea what it’s like to try to use an iPhone when you have super long fingernails, but I have seen a bunch of women try to stab away at their screens like they’re Freddy Krueger. Your fingernail is not a stylus, but it could become one very soon.

Tech Tips is making a new product that will turn your fingernails into a conductive stylus, so you can stop looking so weird when you’re trying to send a text message.

The product is called Nano Nails and they will be available as either full press-on nails that you can get at your salon, or as a nail tip. You can buy them in packages of four or six for about $10, so your manicure won’t cost you more if you want to stylus-ize your fingernails.

According to people who have tried them, there is a slight learning curve as you work out the best angles to tap the screen, but it’s easier than trying to navigate the tip of your finger to touch the screen while a nail blocks its path. Nano Nails should arrive in stores this May.

You could probably just mix in ferrous metal shavings into nail polish, right? Like the way magnetic paint is made, to make the polish conductive.
