Cult of Mac Contest: Name Mystery Apple Object, Win T-shirt

mystery6

This is your last chance to correctly name a mystery Apple item to win a T-shirt.

Not just any T-shirt: choose from the Apple-inspired designs at might tees, which include the I Love Lisa we wrote about, a retro-style logo and Steve Jobs in typeface.

apple_tees

The tees are made with water-based eco inks screen printed on high quality tri-blend shirts (part organic cotton, part recycled rayon and polyester) and a $28-$36 value.

We’ll chose a winner at random from correct answers — leave them in the comments but specify object and model, e.g. “Macintosh Quadra 700.”

It’s an apple IIc, the first Apple I ever owned. The 40/80 switch told the monitor how many characters to display across the screen. And the little bar next to the (5 1/4″ !) floppy icon showed disc activity. Ahhh, memories…

It’s a later model Apple IIc, as indicated by the presence of disc and keyboard icons instead of text.

Apple IIc. Jeez, using the comments area for submissions isn’t very fair, you can tell who’s right based on the most popular submission. That said, I already knew what it was before I scrolled down :)
