Feeling a bit secret agent lately, and looking for the ultimate in protection for your Macbook Pro or Macbook Air? The folks over at ViVAX think they have the solution, with their completely sealed, impact-proof laptop case using a variety of cutting edge technologies. Made completely in Italy, the developers behind the project claim this is the first Italian-based Kickstarter project of its kind, and they’d like you to help fund their dream goal of producing and eventually selling this amazing case.

The cases are watertight, waterproof, sand and dust proof, and can withstand some crazy shock and harsh environments, thanks to the several technologies being used. The waterproof external shell is of military design and origin, used by armies the world over to transport sensitive gear in all kinds of climates.

There’s also an external polymer, similar to that used in crash helmets, used to reinforce the outer shell to make it more crush, water, shock, and mud proof. The interior is lined with Poron XRD, a shock proof techno-polymer that can absorb up to 90% of kinetic energy, making this the best protection against drops and smashes seen, yet, according to the Kickstarter project.

The case is then given an external Neoseal rubber seal, which conforms to NATO standards for water resistance and sink resistance. So, the next time you need to retrieve your Macbook Pro from a drop into the ocean, you’ll be well guarded.

The Kickstarter project is also offering a limited edition of 50 cases covered in Carbon fiber as well as 25 that will be covered in Kevlar fiber, for those of you that need more bullet-proof protection. Make sure you order these early, though, as they may take up to 15 extra days to complete.

So, if you’re intrigued, head on over to the project’s Kickstarter page to help fund this Italian-made super spy case, and get yourself one super spy-case for your favorite Mac laptop. If it does get funded, we’re sure Q would be proud to offer one up to Bond. James Bond.
