Scheduled as a December 13th launch, 1Password, version 4.0.2, is available now on the iTunes App Store.
The updated app brings a host of new features, and is available for $7.99, which is 50 percent off the typical price of the security app from atebits software.
1Password will generate unique, strong passwords for every site you visit on your iOS device, protecting all your data behind a single master password. It’s secured with military grade 256-bit AES encryption, and uses standard iOS libraries to be sure there are no third-party backdoors or security gaps. If your iOS device is stolen, 1Password has an Auto-Lock feature, ensuring that your data is protected.
You can store all your information in 1Password, not just passwords. Store credit card numbers, notes, Passport info, bank account numbers and access codes, and more. Mark items as favorites, or organize your data securely into folders. You can search within the app for attachments, and even view them within the 1Password app.
There’s even a built-in browser for secure surfing, logging into websites and shopping online, giving you access to your 1Password vault data, without ever having to hop out to Safari. You can auto-fill credit cards, address info, and the like while you brows multiple tabs securely.
Further, 1Password has iCloud support, letting you sync your data across all your enabled devices, as well as the ability to use Dropbox across the 1Password apps on Mac, Android, or Windows PCs.
The universal app is available now, and will run on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Buy it once and install it on all your iOS devices with no subscription or other hidden fees.
