Angry Birds Celebrates 3rd Birthday With 30 New Levels For Android & iOS, iPhone 5 Support

The original Angry Birds game for smartphones, the title that started it all back in 2009, celebrates its third birthday this week. And what better way to do that than with lots of new content. In addition to support for Apple’s new iPhone 5 (finally!), you can look forward to 30 brand new levels and more on Android and iOS.

There are 15 new “Birdday Party” levels in this update, and some “EXPLOSIVELY delicious cake.” Plus 15 new Bad Piggies-themed levels. The update also sees the introduction of a new Angry Birds character, Pink Bird, and full support for the new 4-inch display on Apple’s latest smartphone.

Angry Birds has been a staggering success on mobile devices over the past three years, with more than 12 million copies purchased on iOS alone. It’s seen more than 1 billion downloads across all platforms, and it’s not just available for Android and iOS; you’ll also find it on Mac and PC, on most consoles, and even on Samsung’s Smart TVs.

Rovio now has an Angry Birds spin-off title available called Bad Piggies, which has also gotten off to a great start. For those of you who are yet to experience the original Angry Birds, you’ll find the latest versions in the App Store and Google Play now.
