Google Voice Now iPhone 5 And iOS 6 Friendly

Two months after Apple released the iPhone 5 and iOS 6, Google Voice has finally been updated. Google’s official iOS app received support for the newest iPhone’s taller display and iOS 6 today.

About time.

Users in the U.S. can make free domestic calls and low-rate international calls, send text messages, and read voicemail transcriptions with Google’s telecommunications service. Check it out on Google’s website if you’re interested. Some use Google Voice to supplement and even replace a traditional voice/texting plan with a carrier.

From today’s change log:

- Optimized for iPhone 5 and iOS 6
- Bug fixes and performance enhancements
- iOS 4.3 or above is now required

Google Voice is available for free in the App Store.
