The Difference Between The Apple Store And Microsoft Store On Black Friday [Video]

Were you crazy enough to brave the murderous masses of people looking for deals on Black Friday this year? If you stopped by the Apple Store to get a cheaper MacBook or something, you probably noticed that the Apple Stores were even more crowded than usual. But then if you went over to a Microsoft Store it looked like just a normal day.

Here’s a video that compares the amount of people visiting the Microsoft Store and the Apple Store. Surprise, Apple won on Black Friday.

Although imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, in the end people want the real thing.

Blatantly copying the layout and design of the Apple Store and trying to pass off Surface and Win8 as a formidable alternative to an iPad is clearly not a convincing strategy.

Yawn. It’s really nothing more than a very well run company that clearly knows how to make products that people want to buy – and more and more that includes the sheep that were programmed into the Windows-only world.

Agree, there is nothing more than a very well run company! Apple clearly is the best.

While I will not disagree that Apple is a well run company as $42+ Billion in profits proves that fact; the fact of the matter is that they simply know how to advertise better.

Then again, while maybe I was programmed into that Windows only world; I’m coming closer and closer to abandoning it for the Google world as I still appreciate options and fair pricing that doesn’t include intentionally leaving out current features so that you can encourage the “sheep” to upgrade next year (cameras on original iPad, 4G on the iPhone 4S, Retina display on the iPad Mini – the list could go on).

Guys…this was at the MS Store in Toronto with the Apple Store in the same strip. But in Canada, we’ve already celebrated Thanksgiving thus there’s not a bonkers rush to buy stuff on Black Friday. Just isn’t really a fair comparison of either stores seeing as Apple didn’t extend the Black Friday deals they had to the US to Canada (they do it on Boxing Day here) nor did the Microsoft store. And an aside, that Apple Store location was closed to relocate themselves to next to the Microsoft store and that Friday was the grand re-opening; So a lot of those people might have been there just because they haven’t been able to get their stuff fixed in that area for a while.
