Skip Forward And Back In Small Steps With The Podcast App [iOS Tips]
Podcasts can be great fun, but they tend to have long segments of audio that you may or may not want to listen to. Which is fine, if you could sip through it easily. And, let’s face it, you might not be fully paying attention to them when they’re on, so you might miss things. Things you want to back up to hear, for example.
Well, guess what? You can do both with iOS 6, in the Podcast app.
First, launch the Podcasts app, and then find an episode of a favorite podcast to play. Tap the play triangle to get things started.
To skip ahead, simply tap the little clockwise-facing circular arrow with the 30 in it to skip ahead 30 seconds at a time. To back up, tap the counter-clockwise circular arrow with the 10 in it to skip backward in 10 second intervals.
In addition, you can tap and hold either button to move forward or backward even faster, like fast forward or rewind used to be back in the day.
