Instagram Finally Gets Updated For The iPhone 5 And iOS 6

Good news for Instagram addicts: the app has finally been updated for iOS 6 and the iPhone 5’s larger display.

Not only has compatibility been added for Apple’s latest smartphone and mobile OS, but Instagram has also added an improved registration flow and password recovery tool.

What’s New in Version 3.1.0

- iOS 6 and iPhone 5 compatible
- Improved password recovery
- Redesigned registration flow

iPhone 5 support means that the app is no longer letter-boxed in the center of the screen, and instead fills the entire 4-inch display. Marquee iOS apps like Facebook and Twitter were updated with iPhone 5 and iOS 6 support right away, but it’s taken Instagram about a week to get its update out for some reason. You can grab the newest version of Instagram now in the App Store.
