Snag My Spot Is Like Instapaper For The Real World

Did you ever find yourself walking down a neighborhood street and coming across a heretofore unknown (to you at least) restaurant? Did you promise yourself that you’d check it out next time you were in the mood for pizza/Indian/sushi/brunch?
And did you totally forget where it was when the time came? Then Snag My Spot is for you.
Snag My Spot is an iPhone app that lets you remember places. Tap “Snag” and you’ll get a list of nearby venues, or you can go commando and enter your own. In this way it’s a little like Foursquare, only it’s more private and it’s about remembering for the future, not for places you’ve already been.
Once you have snagged a spot (see what I did there?) you can view all your spots on a map, or in a list. And yes, you can also share them, although you don’t have to do it with the whole world.
Is Snag My Spot yet another thing to remember to open on your iPhone? Sure. But then again, if it means you discover that the best pizza place in the city is right on your doorstep, then it’s probably worth it.
