Tweet Or Post To Facebook Without Using Special Apps In iOS 6 [iOS Tips]

So, there you are, sitting on the bus, and inspiration strikes. You really want to fire off a quick tweet or status update to Facebook, but your stop is coming up fairly quick, and you really can’t miss it again. Opening up the Facebook or Twitter app will take precious seconds, ones you don’t have to spare! What’s an iOS 6-enabled person to do?

Now that Facebook is integrated along with Twitter in iOS 6, you don’t need to open either specific app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to get out that short message of genius.

The first thing you need to do to have both options enabled is to sign in to both Facebook and Twitter in the Settings app. Once you’ve entered your credentials for both services, swipe down from the top of the iOS device to brTweet Or Post To Facebook Without Using Special Apps In iOS 6 [iOS Tips]he Twitter settings, even though my credentials have been entered for a while now, to see the Tap to Tweet button. Your mileage may vary.

Tap the service you’d like to post to, type out your message, and boom – you’re posting in the wink of an eye, ready to take on those daring bus-based tweets and subway-centered facebook posts.

Hey Rob, any idea on how to get the invert colors keyboard stroke back since 10.8.2 came out? Ctrl+Option+Cmmd+8 doesn’t work anymore. Since your the tips guy and all, thought I’d ask you.

Good point – all I’m seeing is a checkbox in the System Prefs. I’ll look around and see what I can find, though.

Hi, any ideas how to switch off annoying alerts when any photo app is started and requested access to my photos (xy app would like access to your photos Yes/No) ? I have and use tons of photo apps on several devices and this redundant iOS6 feature driving me really crazy.. :)

I don’t, but I do see the same complaint out there on the intertubes. I’ll keep an eye out for a solution.

It would be useful to be able to write a message once and send to both Twitter & Facebook at the same time!

    & @SupaMac,
I found it – it is now turned off by default for some reason. Go to System Preferences>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts>Accessibility> and then check “Invert Colors”

It is still Ctrl+Option+Cmmd+8 after you check the box.
