Steve Jobs Wax Figure Unveiled At Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

Madame Tussauds Wax Mueseums are renowned for their life-like representations of famous celebrities. To mark the first anniversary of Steve Jobs’s death, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong will unveil a new wax figure of the legendary Apple co-founder that will go on display September 27th.

The Steve Jobs wax figure has been modeled after photos taken for his famous Fortune Magazine cover in 2006. Madame Tussauds made sure to get the details right and dressed the figure in Steve’s trademark black turtle neck, Levi 501 jeans and New Balance trainers.

To create the wax figure, Madame Tussauds sculptors used methods that have been around for over two hundred years, rather than embracing high-tech methods that remove a sculptor’s ability to manipulate each aspect of the design personally. The estimated cost of the figure is just under $200,000.  We haven’t been able to find high-res pictures of the Steve Jobs wax figure, but here are some small ones that Madame Tussauds has provided.
