Today, IK Multimedia announced new, lower prices for all of its professional-level Mac music software and plug-in software. The prices have been lowered on Amplitube, T-Racks, and Sample Tank, as well as updates and price drops on Total Workstation and Total Studio bundles.

The company also updated Amplitube, its popular iOS guitar app, adding new effects models to coincide with the release of its new compatible guitar pedal, the iRig Stomp.

Total Workstation XL is a digital audio workstation (DAW) that provides over 43 Gb of samples and 20,000 individual sounds to use in creating music on your Mac. It’s actually a bundle of virtual instruments, including SampleTank, Miroslav Philharmonik, Sonik Synth, SampleMoog, and SampleTron. It will retail for $299, but will have an introductiory price of $199 through October 31, 2012.

Total Workstation 3 has all of the above, but adds full versions of plugins like AmpliTube 3, T-RackS 3 Deluxe and CSR (Classik Studio Reverb). It will also be on sale through October 31 for $249, after which it will return to the regular $399 retail price.

iOS musicians aren’t left out here, either, as an update for Amplitube came out today as well, with new effects models from Soldano, Ampeg, and T-Rex. The update will be free, while the effect models will be available as an in-app purchase starting at $2.99 apiece. AmpliTube is available in the iTunes App Store for $19.99 for the iPAd, with an iPhone ($2.99) and free version available as well.
