It took Apple a long, long time to bring customizable wallpapers to the iPhone, so who knows when — or indeed if — the Cupertino company will make them scrollable. But rather than waiting, why not install the WS Wallpaper tweak on your jailbroken device and add scrollable wallpapers yourself?

Scrollable wallpapers are already available to most Android-powered smartphones these days, so if you came to iOS from Google’s platform, this could be a feature you’re missing. But that’s no problem; simply open up Cydia on your jailbroken device and search for “WS Wallpapers.”

Once installed, the tweak lets you select a scrollable wallpaper that moves from side to side as you flick through your home screen pages. The great thing about it is that every wallpaper you select can be customized the way you like it. For example, you don’t have to use the whole image if you don’t want to; instead, you can specify a certain section that you want to see.

AppAdvice has a great clip of the tweak in action:

WS Wallpapers is completely free and you can find it now in Cydia. Unfortunately, it seems it’s compatible with iPhone/iPod touch only for now.
