You guys carry some odd things aro und in your gadget bags. Like, rubiks cubes, otoscopes, or electronic dog tags? Hey, whatever works for you, that’s fine. Who are we to judge. Even though the Cult of Mac Show Us What’s In Your Gadget Bag sweepstakes is over, we couldn’t get over how fascinating a lot of the gadget bags were. Each told a unique story about that individual, which was really interesting to see. So to celebrate you guys, we compiled this gallery of the 10 most interesting gadget bags we saw last week.

Menithings did an incredible job at producing the cleanest bag picture we saw in the contest.

Since I use so many Apple products I decided to make the shot feel more Apple-esque when bringing it into Photoshop to add the numbers/descriptions. Steps:

– The numbers are based on iOS’ notification badges.
– The font used for the item descriptions is Myriad Pro. The same used by Apple for much of its signage.
– Shot on my minimalist aluminum table using mostly natural light and one lamp.
– Did some basic color processing and image filtering.
– Table part-lines and edges digitally removed.
– The Cult of Mac photos on the iPad and iPhone are real and not added in later.
– Shot on an iPhone 4S with HDR on.
