Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Now Has His Very Own Baseball Card

When I was a kid, baseball cards pretty much only featured athletes. I don’t even think the President of the United States could get a baseball card unless he also had a stint in the minor leagues before taking office.

Apparently, times have changed, and Upper Deck — the biggest baseball company in the world — now creates cards for famous people who had an impact on society. Like Steve Wozniak, who is now featured in the 2012 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions set.

Woz’s card is a bit special because it includes pieces from floppy disks embedded in the card. You can get the card with either black or red floppy disk fragments depending on whether you find the single relic or dual-relic cards.

Suprisingly, the cards are pretty cheap. Single relic cards cost a few bucks and dual-relics are somewhere between $15-20. If you’re impatient, and don’t want to buy stacks of cards just to find Woz, you can always buy one off eBay and give it to an Apple fanboy as a present.

There’s no word on whether or not Upper Deck plans to make a Steve Jobs card, but they did make one for Kate Middleton, if you’re into that sort of thing.
