Spotify's latest update brings a "friendlier" login screen to iPhone.

Spotify’s official iOS app has received a new update that introduces a number of new features and improvements. In addition to playlist sorting on the iPad, Spotify promises “friendlier” login for first-time users on iPhone, a new settings menu that’s now arranged by category, faster radio, and more.

If you’ve got tons of playlists saved on Spotify and you struggle to find the tracks you want to listen to, the app’s new sort feature will help. Available only on the iPad — at least for now — the feature allows you to sort playlists by album, track, artist, and more, making it quicker and easier to navigate your music.

Also for iPad users is a new friend search function that allows you to find your best buddies and see what they’ve been listening to.

On iPhone, Spotify has made it easier to login for first-time users, with a new login screen similar to that on the iPad, with album art decorating the background.

On both iOS devices, there’s a new settings screen that’s organized by category, and the Radio feature now loads a lot fast. “Blink and you’ll miss it,” apparently.
