Apple parody commercials are nothing new, but this is the first I’ve seen for the upcoming iPhone 5. According to video artist and creator Adam Sacks, Apple’s next iPhone will be perfectly suited to those who feel the need to take pictures of their food “to create the illusion of a fulfilling life.”

Sacks’s version of the iPhone eliminates almost every single one of the iPhone’s features, apart from its camera and Siri. In fact, it looks just like a DSLR camera, and offers a 50mm macro lens, and a maximum ISO of 6,400. But that has its advantages, apparently.

“These pictures look so good that nobody would ever imagine you lie awake at night wondering why you can’t feel happiness,” the commercial explains.

The iPhone 5’s camera is so good that it promises to take stunning pictures in “whatever dimly lit, exposed brick, no reservation basement restaurant your friends care about more than each other.”

“Siri’s all new, too; she can recognize the food you photograph and suggest fun captions that’ll imply a life worth living.”
