4. Panic! at the Disco – Pretty. Odd.

This 2008 release from Panic! at the Disco is helping me come around to the idea that there’s actually been some really good music made since 1976. And the way this album cover both calls to mind Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s Deja Vu and gives it a welcome wash of color, well, it just makes me all kinds of happy inside.

3. Wilco – Wilco (The Album)

It’s hard to pin down why this album cover is so great, much as it’s hard to pin down why Wilco’s music is so great, other than a feeling that it just is. Music, art, love – it’s all subjective anyway, right?
