Don’t EVER buy a bumper from Apple like this! It scratches the hell out of the aluminum along the sides and ends of the phone. Bad engineering on Apple’s part.

That is just not true. I have had a bumper on my iPhone 4S since the day it was launched – just took it off and there’s no damage on my phone at all, it looks brand new underneath.

    Happy to supply pictures.

Rather go on eBay & buy them for next to nothing & just as good if not better, many more designs etc…

Plenty of info out there to the contrary. Look it up. Better still, take the bumper off and feel how hard and rigid the plastic is inside of it. If you’re still not convinced, well, at least it isn’t my phone..

    It’s stainless steel, not aluminum.

The Bumpers don’t scratch the metal on my phone. I mean, it’s just plastic and rubber-type stuff.

Wow (Product) Red Bumpers?! That’s awesome! Too bad the new iPhone is just weeks away.

Would you care to explain how rubber can scratch metal? This should be good.

The inside of the bumper is hard plastic, dumbass.

I agree with Ed_Kel. The Apple bumper scratched my iPhone 4 to hell. I have no idea if they’ve changed the way that they’re made with the release of the 4S, but from my experience, I’d recommend people stay away from these things.

Would you care to explain how plastic can scratch metal? It’s the exact same question.

Particles can come between the metal and plastic, over time scratching the phone.

How does water break open rocks? MAGIC!
