If you still need to turn your electronic documents into ink on paper, then FedEx will now let you print to its in-store photocopiers direct from your Dropbox, Box and Google Drive accounts.

Just upload your preferred file to Dropbox or your preferred cloud service and head over to a FedEx location. There you’ll find a photocopier with a touchscreen computer, from which you can log in to your various accounts and print documents direct.

Yes, log in to your account. I don’t know about you, but I’d be rather worried about logging into my Dropbox account on any machine, let alone one that can be easily accessed by the public. Still, if you find yourself downtown when somebody mails you something you just have to print, your iPhone and FedEx can save the day.

I think I shall stick with my own “cloud” printing service, which involves emailing a document to the local, family-owned print shop and walking down the street to pick it up. Bonus: there’s an Italian bar next door with great coffee and home-made cakes.
