Write anywhere with the TruGlide Duo.

If you carry a stylus for your iPad, it’s fair to say you like writing (or at least doodling). And – by extension – it’s likely that you also carry a pen. Now one of our favorite styluses – – the metal-mesh-tipped TruGlide from Linktec – has been turned into the Duo, a single stick with a different writing technology at each end.

I have the new (released today) TruGlide Duo here in my hand (making it a little tricky to actually type), and a full review is coming soon. Right now I can say that the metal mesh tip, which is kind of like those metallic scouring pads for cleaning pans only without the ability to scratch anything, is just as smooth and slippery as on the regular TruGlides, and that the pen at the other end works just fine – as it should: it takes Parker refills.

The barrel is a nice, heavy brass tube which weighs 1.4 ounces, way better than the 0.2-ouncees of the other models, for extended writing at least. The pen comes with a single cap which can be moved to whichever end you aren’t using. It clicks into place with a decent clunk, more Mercedes than Ford.

In fact, as pens go, you would be happy if you’d spent the $40 this costs on a ball pen alone. That it also has a high-quality and durable stylus is just a bonus. Available now.
