But it could be $49.99 cheaper later this year.

Best Buy is now selling the iPhone 4 — in white and black — for just $49.99 with a two-year service plan on AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint. This is one of the cheapest iPhone 4 deals we’ve seen so far, and it’s expected to last until Apple unveils the new iPhone later this year.

You can take advantage of the deal through BestBuy.com, and if you’re not planning to pick up the new iPhone, this is arguably one of the most attractive contract deals there is for the iPhone 4. However, it could get even better.

When Apple does unveil the new iPhone later this year, it’s likely that the iPhone 4 will replace the iPhone 3GS as the entry-level iPhone. That means it could be available for as little as $0.99 on contract, or even free from some providers.

Of course, there’s always a chance it won’t, and that Best Buy’s price will go up again. But that does seem highly unlikely.
