UPDATED With HD: Tiny Wings 2.0 Brings Retina Graphics, New Modes, And iPad Support To The App Store

Update: Hey, look at that! Tiny Wings HD just showed up in our iTunes App Store.

Tiny Wings 2.0 is available now in the app store, as a free update to the original sleeper hit by developer Andreas Illiger.

After a cute little music box teaser trailer was posted earlier this week, igniting the joy of fans and the media alike, it seems as if the wait is (almost) over.

The new Tiny Wings was released as a thank you to fans, and it includes new retina graphics, 15 new levels, an entirely new racing mode called Flight School, iCloud support for cross device play, night flights, new language support, and some cute baby birds as well. Flight School has you facing off three other AI-controlled opponents and racing across the different levels and islands to the finish line, where the baby birds all line up in order of their finish. It’s cute fun and adds a lot to an already addictive game.

The much-anticipated iPad version (Tiny Wings HD) of the one touch iOS game is still unavailable in the app store as of this writing available in the App Store now, but it’s said to contain a two-player mode where folks can race their little small winged birds against each other in split screen mode. Update: I’m off to try it out right now.
