Readability is faster than ever before in version 1.1.

The official Readability app for iOS has received a major update today that not only promises to deliver “huge performance improvements,” but also adds a number of new features, including new “Top Reads” and “Longform Picks” reading lists, YouTube and Vimeo integration, and more.

Syncing your reading list is now faster than ever before thanks to the improvements Readability has made to its app. On top of this, it’s also faster to discover new content, with the new “Top Reads” and “Longform Picks” reading lists, and when you find a story that catches your eye, the “time-to-read” features displays how long it’ll take you to read it.

The update also allows you to double-tap while reading to quickly scroll up and down each page — which you can see in the video below — and it adds YouTube and Vimeo integration so that you can watch embedded clips without leaving the app.

The Readability 1.1 update can be downloaded from the App Store now.
