Launch Center Pro Looks Like Quicksilver For The iPhone [Video]
Launch Center Pro from App Cubby on Vimeo.
App Cubby has made a little teaser video for the forthcoming new app Launch Center Pro. As you may remember, Launch Center is kind of like Quicksilver or Launchbar for your iPhone — you fire it up and tap buttons to perform actions. You can quickly compose a Tweet, or tap a button to open the Mail app with a new draft already pre-populated with a recipient’s address, or even schedule a message, say, to be sent at a certain time (this will pop up a reminder in the Notification Center).
The Pro version looks to be a redesign with icons instead of a list view, and also a bunch of extra actions. It’s just a teaser, though, so we don’t yet know for sure what’s coming.
After seeing this video I just put Launch Center back in my dock, and it is already proving handy. If nothing else you can just use it as a quick app launcher, kind of like having an OS X-style stack in the Mac dock. I can add a new task to Omnifocus, or snap an Instagram photo, or do anything with any app that supports custom URL schemes. I can’t wait to see what the Pro version brings.
