    Asinine.  Almost a scam.

If you need a video “course” to learn how to use a word processor, you are using the wrong word processor.
Does it come on VHS or Beta? :)

Fanboys hatered of all things MS really makes me laugh! The fact is that MS Office is, and has long been a fantastic tool for us all. It changed the way we were able to work and empowered us. One of the main reasons was standardisation of file formats, as well as the incredible things that can be done with it.

Back in the day, I was using Word Star running on a DOS platform. When Word was released, it revolutionised everything, and gave the fantastic capabilities of Desktop Publishing to everyone who had access to it. Lotus 123 was the norm for spreadsheeting, the main reason business adopted PCs. Then came Excel. I remember seeing PowerPoint in use for the first time at a MS conference in London. The capabilities astounded me. Few use it regularly, but Acces again is a brilliant tool.

We forget what MS Office has enabled us to do, it is taken for granted. Bill Gates wanted to put a PC on everyone’s desk at work, then in every home. It was Bill Gates that changed the world, not Steve Jobs. You don’t like this amazing tool Gates gave us? Use iWork, and good luck to you! But ask yourself this, why is MS Office and not iWork the standard, in every office, all over the world.

I’d like to make a bath salts joke, however that would be far too off base.

Ummm MS and Apple are Apples and Oranges. Apple transcends the whole rigged environment by providing AMPLE means of exporting to a variety of formats.
