How To: Use Flock As A Twitter Client

Social browser Flock might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it comes with some social web smarts built-in, and some of these can be put to use in cool ways.

The best I’ve found is as a Twitter client. It’s particularly useful if you need to keep track of keywords or phrases over a period of time, because the Saved Search panels available inside Flock are quick and easy to create, and will hang around for as long as you need them.

I can see this being useful for all sorts of situations, and especially for bloggers, journalists and brand manager types who want to track activity around keywords in real time.

It’s true that you can get a lot more functionality in some of the dedicated Twitter clients; but a lot of them cost money. This is a useful free alternative with zero hassle.
