This print and fold iPhone stand looks like something from Muji: chic, simple and functional.

It’s the handiwork of French industrial designer Julien MadĂ©rou, who kindly provided a downloadable template.

If you’ve got dexterous hands (or just the patience to watch the instructional video) and some heavy paper (270 gsm or 100 lb. cover), you can do it yourself.

    Great idea! Just made one myself and works well…

    One note – if you have one of the older style plugs for the phone, it won’t quite sit perfectly in the holder. Newer plugs have a lower profile where they connect to the phone and they probably work well. If you add just a bit of length to the panel that ends up on the front of the holder, immediately below the phone when it’s in the holder, the older, bigger plug sits nicely…
