Want an iPad 3?

Tim Cook will be introducing it next week. Take our reader survey and you’ll be entered into a sweepstakes to win one.

We’ve grown a tremendous amount these last three years, from just a few thousand pageviews a month to more than 9 million in February — and that was a short month. We need a favor — some data about you, the readers, to help attract advertisers and sponsorship partners. This is crucial — our bandwidth costs are through the roof!

There’s more. We’d like to learn something about the state of the Apple ecosystem — what devices you are using and how. Do you use your iPad at work? What are you planning to buy this year? We’d also like to learn what you think of the site and what we could do better.

The survey is fairly short — just 25 questions — and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete. At the end you’ll be given the opportunity to enter the sweepstakes — just fill out your name and email. The lucky winner will be drawn from the hat and we’ll buy an iPad 3 as soon as it’s available.*

Naturally, all your information will be kept confidential. We’re interested only in building a general audience profile. Your email will not be shared with any third-parties: it’s just to alert the winner.

Note — the survey is embedded below. We’re using a frame which sometimes cuts off the questions. Be sure to scroll down within the frame to see all the questions and the button to advance to the next page.

*Legally, we are limited to buying a prize worth no more than $500. To iPad 3 we’ll buy will be roughly equivalent to the current $499 iPad 2, assuming Apple keeps to its current pricing structure. And of course, no one currently knows when the iPad 3 will go on sale.
