Apple has announced that it will support Paul McCartney’s new album, Kisses on the Bottom, by live streaming a special concert to fans on Thursday, February 9. You can tune in using iTunes on your Mac or PC, or on your television via your Apple TV set-top box.

Apple announced the event with a new page on within its music section of the iTunes Store earlier today:

To celebrate the release of Paul McCartney’s latest album — available now — we’re streaming his exclusive performance at Capitol Studios on February 9 at 7 p.m. (PST). Watch the concert on iTunes on your computer, or stream it on your TV using your Apple TV — just choose iTunes Live from the Internet menu.

This isn’t the first time Apple has live-streamed special events via iTunes. For a number of years now, the company has streamed the week-long iTunes Festival from London, featuring artists such as Adele, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Snow Patrol, and more.

This is the first time, however, that the company will live-stream an event directly to its Apple TV.

McCartney’s new album is available to download now from iTunes for $9.99, following its release yesterday.
