We exclusively confirmed way back in February that Apple had plans to build a store in Grand Central Station’s main terminal, and following months of speculation it seems the store is set to open its doors this week, just in time for the Christmas rush.

It is set to become Apple’s most highly-trafficked retail store in the world, with over 750,000 people passing by its doors each day, and up to one million people during peak periods, such as the holidays. It will reportedly employ just over 300 Apple retail staff, who are currently training in other stores around New York.

According to a source for 9to5Mac, Apple staff will begin stocking the store this week, with its grand opening on either Black Friday or “shortly thereafter.” Apple’s goal is to have the store open and ready to take on this year’s Christmas shoppers.
